Independent Non-Executive Director

Kayode Tinuoye is a results-driven finance executive with a distinguished 15-year career bridging investment banking and energy project finance across emerging markets. Currently serving as Vice President of Project Financing at Genesis Energy UK, he leads high-value infrastructure financing initiatives, applying his unique blend of African capital markets expertise and European energy sector insight to structure complex cross-border transactions.

His recent tenure as Regional Director for Africa at United Capital Plc saw him architect the firm’s pan-African expansion, delivering $1 million in revenue within two years while establishing new market footholds. Among his landmark achievements was engineering Sierra Leone’s inaugural local currency bond issuance – a market-making transaction that demonstrated his innovative approach to frontier market financing. His deal sheet boasts transformative projects including a $50 million geothermal plant financing in Kenya and a €200 million sovereign debt refinancing for Mali, showcasing his ability to navigate both corporate and government-level capital requirements.

Earlier leadership roles revealed his multifaceted financial acumen. At United Capital Asset Management, he stewarded over $500 million in client assets, consistently generating 9-11% returns while pioneering the firm’s first dollar-denominated fund. His analytical rigor shone as Head of Investment Research when he more than doubled securities coverage, creating actionable insights that drove $2 million in trading revenue.

A First-Class Economics graduate from Obafemi Awolowo University and current MBA candidate at Nexford University, he complements his academic foundation with elite credentials including the CFA charter and HBX Disruptive Strategy certification.

This powerful combination of theoretical knowledge and practical deal experience enables him to develop creative financing solutions at the intersection of energy infrastructure and emerging markets growth.
